Package deals exclude your flights and accommodation before and after your Safari as well as Taxidermy costs, dip & pack and shipping. To book your dream African Safari we require a 50% deposit of the total value of your Safari.
Remember you can put your own package together.

Ethical hunting is practiced and the experience of the hunt in the spirit of the fair chase is what it is all about at Savanna hunting.
Hunting is done on foot in the traditional African way. Other methods are also employed for physically challenged clients. Hunting vehicles (Toyota Land Cruisers) are utilized to transport to drop off and pick up points in the bush as well as for game viewing and photographic Safaris.
Our experienced PH’s and trackers will make your African Safari a memorable hunting experience and not just a shoot. At Savanna hunting we pride ourselves in quality safaris, we do not put pressure on our clients just to take the shot, if you are not entirely happy to take the shot, we will gladly create another opportunity.
Climate
The hunting months of May to September a moderate winter is experienced with morning temperatures from zero degrees centigrade that warm up to a nice twenty-three degrees centigrade during the day, we recommend you bring some warm clothes as well as light clothing for the warmer part of the day.
Calibre Choice.
It’s preferable that you bring your own rifle on safari, but you can also hire a rifle from us at $ 50.00 per day and ammo at cost We require a minimum of a .243 Win. for
all small game up to Springbuck. Medium sized to larger game, like Kudu we require a .30 calibre.
The most popular being the .308 Win or .30 06 and .300 Win Mag. For large game, especially the Eland we require minimum calibres of .338 Win Mag. or 9.3x62. All dangerous game you will need a minimum of .375 H & H Magnum.
